National Library for Health home
The National Library for Health (NLH) (working
title) is the vision and the programme of works
for the next natural step in the development
of NHS library services. It aims to develop
a modern, hybrid, network based library for
the NHS, drawing on all the skills and resources
in NHS libraries, and an integrated and federated
approach in offering library and information
services to end users.
NLH will bring together national resources,
incl. National Core Content, National electronic
Library for Health, and regional and local
collections. It will also bring together the
development of electronic resources with physical
library and information services and will allow
end users to move seamless between electronic
knowledge bases.
NLH is planned as a phased development. Visit
NLH
website for its development plans and deliverables.
