Network Activities Home

Welcome to the network activities section of the WiSH web site.

There are a number of networks across the West Midlands library services:

• Business networks based on a single Strategy Health Authority or a health community (see Shropshire& Staffordshire; Birmingham and the Black Country; West Midlands South)
• Accreditation learning sets based on a health community or patch (see Accreditation groups)
• Whole regional network supported by lis-wmnet mailing list . Lis-wmnet is the mailing list run by the West Midlands Library Services Development Unit for library staff in the region. It is a very active list (averaging 80 posts a month) with nearly 200 members and provides an opportunity for networking with colleagues. The list is hosted on JISC mail.

The Library Services Unit also runs a range of discussion groups for individual specialist interest groups or project work. If you want to find out more about this service contract the unit using the Email address above.
